1.The scientific study of matter in outer space especially the positions, dimensions,distribution,motion, composition energy and evolution of celestial bodies and phenomena
2.A system of  knowledge of beliefs about celestial phenomena.


                                            what is the ecliptic?

 
in its yearly journey round the sun, the earth traces a path among the stars. This is the ecliptic.You soon get to know the various constellations through which the ecliptic passes.A wider band of the sky cover's an area 8 digress and either side of the ecliptic. This is the zodiac[arise, tours, genemi,cancer,leo,virgo,libra, scorpio,sagittarious, capricorn,aquarius,pisces].In this area you will find the sun, the moon and of the naked eye planets[mercury, mars, Jupiter saturn] except venus now and then stary a little outside of this zone*



In its journey around the sun, tha earth traces a path among the stars.
